🔺HEALTH BENEFITS OF SWEET POTATO:

Sweet Potatoes are an excellent low fat food containing high amounts of dietary fiber, Beta-carotene, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, potassium, iron and calcium. It is an appropriate treat for dogs with diabetes.

🔸ADDED FIBER:
Sweet Potatoes are ranked second in the list of top vegetables high in fiber which can be used to alleviate constipation and diarrhea. It can regulate bowel movement, bulk stool, encourage good bacteria and replace calories with the feeling of fullness, making sweet potatoes useful for pets needing to shed a few extra pounds.

🔸INCREASED IMMUNITY:

Serious deficiencies in Beta-Carotene & Vitamin A may lead to degraded night vision, poor skin quality and abnormal development in the bones, teeth, and reproductive system. The brilliant gold, orange, purple and white color found in potatoes is due to its presence Beta-Carotene which dogs are able to convert into Vitamin A. Cats on the other hand do not have this ability and must obtain Vitamin A through diet alone. Beta-carotene has also been found effective in reducing the risk of heart disease and certain types of cancers.
